have mercy on me for i am in need

This is another of the prayers that I have written during my recovery, when I realized that I am in need of sobriety but cannot achieve it because I sure as hell spent a good portion of my life trying. I’ve been an addict since I was a child, after all, and I had gotten to where I didn’t know there was any other way to live. Thankfully, if I let go of control and let God work, sobriety is possible. So I’ve cried out to Jesus a good many times. I hope that whoever needs it will find it, God works that stuff out pretty damn well.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, for I am in need of healing of mind, body and spirit.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, for I am in need of wholeness.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, for I am in need of sobriety.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, for I am powerless to fix myself.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, for I need you to help me process my trauma.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, for I am in need of redemption.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, for I need you every hour of every day.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, for I need to constantly surrender it all again.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, for I need you in this journey.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, for I am loved by you.
